A bit about me...
"What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step," by C.S. Lewis exemplifies how I face each day of my life, both personally and professionally. As a child, I did not like school and did not care about learning. I grew up, got a job, and began my life without an appreciation for learning. Everything changed for me when I had kids. As my children entered school, I began to see them harbor the same feelings I had toward school and I decided that I wanted to make a change. Through many steps (some backwards, but with determination to move forward), I now consistently pursue new ideas. Now, I can honestly say I love learning! I am always searching for new ideas and knowledge for myself and for ways to improve the lives of my students and those around me as they take steps toward success. These new approaches are not always easy for young children and adults alike, but I strive to lead by example through sharing my failures and successes all while building positive relationships and creating meaningful learning experiences.
